Bridal Shower Brunch • Ruth's Chris Steakhouse
Brunching in late Winter in the garden is the first challenge of this client. The next challenge is a garden theme fused with glam—after all, this client is a Beverly Hills bride. Lastly, our final challenge, our bride doesn't like greenery...at all!
BRIDAL SHOWER BRUNCH
Stems always dreams up the solutions to challenges! We brought the garden inside...inside Ruth's Chris Steakhouse on a chilly March morning. Starting this transformation at 11:30 the night before the shower, after dinner service, we hung ceiling treatments, constructed cabanas and set the floor plan in place.
Our glam and absence of greenery was solved by gilding Southern Smilax gold - hundreds of branches. These golden vines were transformed into handwoven horizontal wreaths that danced above the guests heads and peeked out brilliantly from each and every floral arrangement in the room. Continuing with our garden and glam, the floral decor consisted of hundreds of multiple pinks and blush varieties of garden roses, spray roses, ranunculus, tulips, hydrangea and kalanchoe blooms, designed in a blocked ombre fashion. .
DESSERT CABANA
As our bride is a true sweetie, the show stopper was our dessert cabana. A twelve foot tall, ten foot circular "room" filled with her favorite treats. In the center a rose and yellow gold leafed cake sat royally kissed with blooms, in front of a five foot tall tiered golden centerpiece filled with flowers and candles. Tall Monet candle holders held floating candles majestically throughout the dessert decadence.
The guests enjoyed this golden brunch at blush shantung covered tables of six in fashionable gold Phoenix chairs. As a memoire of this magical winter garden afternoon, guests were each gifted a Michael Aram "Enchanted" gold accented dish, filled with blush and hot pink rose petals, which initially held their place card.
Gifts were opened by the bride in her very own throne, itself gilded and rhinestoned, with a golden Provencal ornate coffee table to rest her champagne on while reading her cards.
